Sainsbury’s Ad: An Unintended Anti-War Message?

I’ll be honest, I don’t even know what Sainsbury’s sells, but wow – what an ad!  It’s based on the Christmas truce of 1914, when British and German soldiers laid down their arms and played football.  It’s a beautifully done piece of work; it shows that humanity exists on both sides of a conflict.  Hopefully the viewer is inspired to question the necessity and justness of a war in which young men are made to kill one another, when otherwise they would have friendly or neutral associations.

Check it out here, and let me know what you think!
